US spot Bitcoin ETFs logged roughly $109.8 million of net inflows on Tuesday, led by Fidelity's FBTC at $103.1 million, snapping the prior session's $65.4 million outflow (SatsIntel/Farside data, updated October 14). Institutional crypto demand has stabilized, and it is worth reading what the rebound does and does not mean with September CPI due today.

Ether rebounds, but the move is thin. The $24.8 million on Oct 13 (Farside data) ends a painful stretch: ten consecutive outflow days from Oct 2 through Oct 12, including an $85.4 million session on Oct 12 led by iShares' ETHA. One positive session does not erase October's deeply negative ether flows any more than one inflow day flips bitcoin's angrier month.

On the bitcoin side, the arithmetic still runs against the bulls. October month-to-date net sits near negative $345.5 million, and year to date near negative $404.3 million, per the Farside figures. Price has held a narrow range around $83,403, CoinGecko shows, with on-chain total value locked steady near $91.7 billion, so Tuesday was not a capitulation print.

Read Tuesday another way: one day is not a posture shift. Kalshi traders enter today's September CPI, due at 8:30 am ET, pricing an October Fed hike near 17% and a December move near 73 cents, and the FOMC meets Oct 27-28. Bitcoin support sits near $81,700 with resistance near $83,700. If CPI prints hot and forces the Fed's hand, the $109.8M rebound could evaporate as quickly as it appeared; if flows follow Tuesday with a second positive session, the de-risking of the past ten days starts to look spent.

One-line outlook: watch whether Tuesday's rebound survives CPI and the FOMC, because a single positive session has not yet changed October's de-risking posture.
