Bitcoin is trading roughly flat near $77,600, but the institutional tape has turned. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have snapped a four-day outflow streak, and Ether funds just logged their strongest single-day intake of the month.

The flip has been sharp. Spot Bitcoin funds shed $462.7 million across Sept 8 to Sept 11, then took in $552.8 million on Sept 12 and another $260.0 million on Sept 15, with BlackRock's IBIT leading at $261.8 million, according to SoSoValue data. That reverses most of the caution that built into the start of the month.

The Ethereum side is running even hotter. Spot Ether ETFs posted a fourth straight week of inflows, drawing $216.4 million on Sept 11, and ETHA added roughly $363 million on Sept 15, its best single day of the month, per Farside and SoSoValue figures. Cumulative inflows across all Ether products have reached $13.72 billion. CoinShares frames the broader picture: $3.3 billion flowed into digital asset funds last week, the largest weekly total since July, with 646 million into Ethereum products over four days.

The renewed bid lands just ahead of two binary catalysts. The Senate holds its cloture vote on the CLARITY Act on Sept 15, and the Federal Reserve announces its decision on Sept 16, where futures price roughly an 80 to 87 percent chance of the first hike in three years. Either event can swing risk appetite in either direction, so the next 48 hours shape up as a volatility setup rather than a clean directional signal, and a hawkish outcome could unwind the fresh inflows almost as quickly as they appeared.

The question to watch is whether inflow momentum survives the Fed decision and the vote. For now the institutional bid is intact heading into both events.
