Two straight days of more than $1.7 billion in spot bitcoin ETF inflows have done everything the institutions could ask, and none of what the bulls wanted. Bitcoin slipped under $84,000 on Thursday morning, at $84,017 per CoinGecko, down about 2.9% on the day, as U.S. Treasury yields pressed to their highest level since 2007.

The same ETF bid that pushed total spot-BTC assets back near $111 billion is running headlong into a macro turn and a $15.9 billion quarterly options expiry that settles Friday at 08:00 UTC. The flows are real. The tape is stalling anyway.
