Korean banks are about to lend billions of dollars against an AI datacenter, and the structure they are discussing says more about where the AI capital cycle is going than any hyperscaler earnings call this month. Seoul Economic Daily reported on September 23, 2026 that KB Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, Hana Bank, Woori Bank and NH Investment & Securities are all reviewing loans to the Naver, Brookfield and Nvidia datacenter project in Sejong, with total project costs above 10 trillion won, or $7.2 billion at the paper's stated conversion.
